Arduino/Sewing | Light Up Backpack | 2023

I designed and built this backpack to follow a series of light patterns similar to that of a popular landmark. This project allowed me to work with several mediums.

 

  • The lights were hand-sewn into the bag

  • The wires were soldered together, using heat shrink to avoid damage as they get moved around in the bag.

  • The Arduino is kept in a 3D printed case

  • Arduino IDE was used to program the light motion

  • The patterns of the lights can be changed, brightened, or dimmed using an IR receiver and a remote control.
